A platform with help and information for those who are close to someone with an eating disorder.
First Eet Kit is a platform providing information and support for people experiencing or supporting someone with binge eating disorder, ARFID, anorexia nervosa, or bulimia nervosa. It guides users through the emotional process of recognizing, acknowledging, diagnosing, and treating an (early-stage) eating disorder.
A double circle evokes the non-linear nature of recovery, emphasizing there is no clear beginning or end. The overlapping circles also symbolize connection and shared effort, highlighting the relational dynamics of recovery.
Illustrations visualize eating disorders abstractly, focusing on heads rather than bodies to avoid triggering images while expressing complex inner struggles. Raw, gender-neutral photography reflects emotional reality, and personal stories from lived experience provide authentic, inclusive perspectives that help users feel seen and supported.
On the First Eet Kit website, these elements combine to create a calm, inclusive, and emotionally engaging environment. Abstract illustrations, double-circle compositions, and photography without stereotypes reinforce a visual identity that reflects the complexity of recovery without idealization. The design avoids linear storytelling, offering a layered experience that encourages recognition and connection.
Two educational tools deepen understanding: an animated video explains the internal dynamics of eating disorders clearly, and an interactive tool outlines symptoms and consequences, helping users explore how different aspects of an eating disorder manifest and affect daily life.
